Kurt Vonnegut's story 'A Long Walk to Forever' comes to life on the big screen

“All my jokes are Indianapolis. All my attitudes are Indianapolis. My adenoids are Indianapolis. If I ever severed myself from Indianapolis, I would be out of business. What people like about me is Indianapolis.” –Kurt Vonnegut, 1986 Kurt Vonnegut (1922 – 2007) was a son, a brother, a college graduate, a reporter, a soldier, and, of course, author to many famous stories, like Slaughterhouse-Five. Project Greenlight top 20 contestant, Chris Capel, asks for your votes

Writer/Director Chris Capel is gaining notoriety within the film world with his short skits that are growing in equal popularity across the world of YouTube. A former employee of DreamWorks where he animated talking animals, Capel’s dreams have expanded into one day becoming a big screen director. The current ultimate high: receiving emotional responses from the audiences who watch his videos. Last year, Capel’s YouTube channel grew more popular when his “Office Thief” commercial ranked in the

10 Things you may not know about actor Jimmy Tatro

Jimmy Tatro is just beginning to become a more recognizable character on the movie screen. Don't let his short filmography on IMDB fool you. Born and raised in California with a background in video writing, producing, and editing, he has worked hard to generate a strong following on his YouTube page, “Life According to Jimmy,” (LATJ) which is filled with comedy satire that once related more to fraternity life but now focuses on aspects regarding life in the real world. In his "free time," Tatro

Doritos Crash the Super Bowl VIII finalists discuss their commercial experience

You have likely seen their commercial on television, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, or through other various promotions. You know the orange face, of Jerry, the office thief. You most likely recognize the “boss” in the commercial, played by talented actor, Larry Cedar, known for his roles in “House M.D.,” “Days of our Lives,” and “National Treasure: Book of Secrets.” You should also recognize the man in orange, at least when he is not covered in Doritos dust. The “office thief” is actor, Steve Ols

What you may not know about comedian Jeff Dunham

Comedian Ventriloquist, Jeff Dunham, is no stranger to the stage. There is not much of a story when it comes to this all-star, talented man and his puppets. Most may think someone holding a puppet would be considered a joke in the comedy industry. Dunham wanted to take that to another level and prove to be the best ventriloquist ever. Needless to say, Dunham has achieved his goal. Yet, he keeps going, and with a successful career behind him, the only way for him to look is ahead. As many perks

My interview with actor Omar Dorsey

He is a husband and father first. Omar J. Dorsey talked with me about his two newest roles on “Eastbound and Down” and “Rake.” I had the chance to interview Omar J. Dorsey. Currently working on two very different shows, this hardworking actor knows how to build on each character. You may have heard of “Eastbound and Down” (Rated TVMA), the extremely inappropriate comedy starring Danny McBride, who plays a burned-out major league baseball player. On "Rake," which is about an outspoken and self-d

Just when you thought writers and directors were running out of movie idea, 2013 hit us with a sequel summer, fall, and winter blast of movies. Maybe now we can break away from another zombie movie (until they come out with a World War Z II, at least. Or maybe they'll call it, World War AA for After Apocalypse). Some sequels that already hit the big screen this year: A Good Day to Die Hard: Bruce, looks like you've still got the "it" factor. The Haunting in Connecticut 2: Ghosts of Georgia:

Wet Your Pants Film Festival 2013 wrap-up

April 27 has come and gone with the odds and ends of the 2013 Wet Your Pants (WYP) Comedy Film festival behind us. The event, however, remains in the minds and hearts of those who were part of each film submission, of those who unselfishly volunteered their time to run the festival, of those who handed out each ticket at the Movie Buff Theater, and of those who were fortunate enough to watch art come to life on the big screen. The WYP Comedy Film Festival crew, now wrapping up another year of s

Jim O'Heir discusses Parks and Rec and meeting the Indianapolis Colts (Photos)

I was recently given the amazing opportunity to speak with the hilarious, very genuine and brilliant actor, Jim O’Heir, who plays Jerry Gergich on Parks and Recreation (P&R), which is based on the fictional town, Pawnee, Indiana. I am pleased to announce how much fun it was to talk with him, learn more about him and how many shows I had likely already seen him in without even realizing it. Jim has performed on many popular shows, such as Rizzoli & Isles (2011: “Dr Little” in Don’t Hate the Play
